Moët Impérial, born as Brut Impérial in 1869, was the name that received non-vintage champagne from La Maison as a tribute to Moët & Chandon's long relationship with the imperial family of France. The first shipment of Moët Impérial was programmed to coincide with the centenary of the birth of Napoleon Bonaparte, a tribute to the faithful patronage of the Emperor of France and his entourage, which brought with him a glorious distinction to the Maison.
