Noval Vintage Silval 2000 is a vintage Port wine produced by the prestigious Quinta do Noval, one of the most iconic wineries in the Douro Valley, Portugal.
This wine comes from a selection of grapes from traditional Port varieties, such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, grown in the youngest plots of the Silval estate.
Fermented and aged in oak barrels for approximately two years before being bottled, Noval Vintage Silval 2000 is characterized by its fruity expression, power and ageing capacity, making it ideal to enjoy now or to store for several decades.
Appearance: It has a deep purple color with ruby reflections, showing great chromatic intensity and concentration, characteristic of a great vintage Port.
Nose: Complex and aromatic on the nose, with intense aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberries, plums and blueberries, accompanied by floral notes of violet and hints of spices such as black pepper and cloves. Subtle nuances of dark chocolate, liquorice and a slight smoky touch are also perceived, adding depth.
Palate: Powerful and full-bodied on the palate, offering a rich and silky texture. Its balanced sweetness is complemented by firm tannins and fresh acidity, which give it structure and longevity.
