Ukan is more than a wine; it represents the winemaking excellence of Rioja Alavesa, created by Koldo Eguren, part of a family with more than five generations of viticultural tradition. This red wine, made with a careful selection of Tempranillo grapes grown in old vineyards, seeks to reflect the essence of its terroir. The manual harvest, conducted in 15 kg boxes, and subsequent selection on two tables ensure that only the best grapes reach fermentation. Its aging of 16 months in French oak barrels adds finesse that perfectly complements the vibrant fruit of the wine. When served, it reveals an intense cherry red color with violet hues, while its nose invites us to enjoy aromas of ripe red and black fruits, accompanied by floral notes and hints of cocoa. On the palate, Ukan is structured and fresh, with polished tannins promising a long and pleasant finish. This wine is not only ideal for immediate enjoyment but also offers excellent aging potential. Internationally recognized, Ukan has been awarded 95 points by critic Tim Atkin, highlighting its exceptional quality. Perfect to serve at 16°C, it is recommended to decant 30-45 minutes before enjoying it to the fullest.
