Juan Gil Yellow Label, made with Monastrell, is intense and powerful with attractive fruity aromas, tasty and persistent on the palate.

In 1916, Juan Gil inaugurated the Winery in Jumilla. Currently, the motto of the fourth family generation is to do a good job and proudly carry the brand name and international recognition achieved.

Elaboration and aging

Juan Gil Yellow Label is made from old vines over 40 years old planted at an altitude of about 700 meters above sea level. The harvest is done manually and begins at the end of October. Traditional vinification. It rests in new barrels of American and French oak for 4 months.

Tasting Notes of Juan Gil Yellow Label

  • Appearance: Juan Gil Yellow Label has an intense and bright cherry red color, with ruby reflections. Medium layer. Fine tears.
  • Nose: Clean, powerful and pleasant. Predominance of intense red fruit. Gradually, pleasant toasted aromas, spicy notes, and dairy memories appear.
  • Palate: Tasty and expressive. Good entry, with remarkable volume, its passage through the mouth leaves a high fruit load. Good acidity, mature, marked and pleasant tannins. Medium finish and persistence, leaving a aftertaste of ripe fruit and a markedly toasted retro-olfaction.

Pairing

Juan Gil Yellow Label is ideal for accompanying rice dishes, stews, legumes, mushrooms, meat stews, and cured meats. It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 16ºC.
