Ron Brugal is a rum from the Dominican Republic. It can boast of being the third brand in the international rum market and the third brand in the European market.

Production and Aging

Ron Brugal undergoes a 5-year aging process. It is made from alcohol produced by fermenting sugarcane molasses, like all Dominican products. Once the sugarcane is harvested, it is transported to the mills where it is squeezed to extract all its juice.

This juice, called molasses, is then transported to the Brugal distillery where it first undergoes fermentation with yeast in large tanks. After this process, it is vacuum distilled and the resulting alcohol undergoes its final stage of production with demineralized water for aging in charred white oak barrels.

Tasting Notes for Ron Brugal

Appearance: Ron Brugal has a bright, clear, and clean amber color.

Nose: On the nose, it presents itself as a very balanced and not overly complex rum.

Palate: On the palate, it highlights a pronounced wood aroma with notes of chocolate and caramel, where the tannins of the wood can also be felt.

Recommended Serving

Brugal Añejo is perfect for refreshing cocktails. It pairs well with Sprite, fresh lime, and plenty of ice.
