Valduero Crianza is a red wine from the Valduero winery, aged for 15 months in barrel. It is made from Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes, offering a harmonious and spicy profile, ideal for pairing with dishes such as beef and semi-cured cheeses.
Valduero Crianza, an emblematic red wine from the Valduero family winery, is more than just a simple crianza, as they themselves state. With 15 months of aging in oak barrels, this wine stands out for its harmonious structure and spicy notes. The winery, established in 1984 in Gumiel de Mercado, Burgos, takes pride in being one of the oldest in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. The production begins with the manual harvesting of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes in 14 kg boxes. After a fermentation lasting 9 days at temperatures between 23 and 28ºC, a 10-day maceration takes place. At the end of fermentation, the wine rests in oak barrels and is bottled, completing its aging with at least another 12 months in this form. Visually, Valduero Crianza exhibits an intense garnet color and aromas that combine fruity, balsamic, and spicy notes, with subtleties of cumin and clove. On the palate, it is a well-structured wine with a significant aftertaste. We recommend enjoying it at a temperature between 17-19ºC, pairing perfectly with beef, Iberian cold cuts, and semi-cured cheeses.
