Arenisca 2023 is an organic red from Toro that comes from Cantalapiedra Viticultores, dedicated to crafting wines that genuinely reflect their terroir. With 98% Tinta de Toro, it exemplifies responsible viticulture in the Duero Valley. The vineyards, aged between 10 to 50 years, are grown at nearly 780 meters above sea level in sandy soil, promoting the creation of finer, more elegant wines than usual in the Toro region. The wine's production is characterized by minimal intervention in the cellar, where the grapes are fully destemmed and fermented in open tanks without temperature control. This process captures the essence of the vineyard. The wine then ages for 11 months in used French oak barrels of various sizes, contributing to its distinctive character. Arenisca 2023 has an intense red color with violet hints, featuring aromas of ripe red fruits along with floral and mineral nuances. On tasting, its freshness and balance highlight its fine tannins, culminating in a long and expressive finish.
