Meler Syrah is an exceptional red wine from the Somontano region, made exclusively from Syrah grapes. This wine is characterized by its very dark cherry red color with a violet rim. During its production, the grapes are harvested at the optimal ripeness during the cooler hours of an October night, which contributes to its quality. A cold maceration occurs for several days, followed by meticulous fermentation control, continuous pump-overs, and delestages, optimizing the wine's profile. Malolactic fermentation takes place afterward, accompanied by extensive work on the lees for several months before bottling. On the nose, Meler Syrah presents clean and intense primary aromas that evoke ripe blackberry fruits, making its olfactory phase very expressive. On the palate, the wine is fruity, meaty, and well-structured, leaving a powerful and balanced finish. This wine is perfect to enjoy with Cava.
