Amaro Majòra is an artisanal digestif liqueur that elevates Marjoram to the status of absolute protagonist. Made in Sicily by the same creators of Amaro Nepèta, this liqueur is inspired by the ancient recipes of herbal infusions that Sicilian farming families used after hearty meals.
Its recipe is based on the infusion of fresh marjoram, harvested at its peak of essential oils, combined with the characteristic bitterness of quinine bark, rhubarb, and gentian. To balance the composition and give it that unmistakable Sicilian DNA, notes of bitter orange peel and a touch of licorice are added. The result is an amaro with more body and structure than its mentholated brother, with a warmer and earthier profile.
On the nose, it is intensely herbal and spicy, with hints of Mediterranean scrub and a soft balsamic background. On the palate, it is enveloping; the initial sweetness quickly fades to give way to a dry, elegant, and very clean bitterness, where the marjoram provides a long and aromatic aftertaste. It is excellent to drink neat at room temperature or with a large ice cube.
