Parxet Brut Nature is an emblematic cava from Bodegas Parxet, with a tradition dating back to the 18th century. Made without expedition liqueur, it is dry and has a mineral profile thanks to the Pansa Blanca, a key variety in its identity.
Parxet Brut Nature is one of the most emblematic cavas from Bodegas Parxet, a house with a long tradition dating back to the 18th century, which began marketing its first sparkling wines in 1920 from its historic estate in Tiana, near Barcelona. This winery has been a pioneer in developing the Brut Nature style, characterized by its dry profile and utmost expressive purity. This cava is made from the classic blend of Macabeo, Parellada, and Pansa Blanca (Xarel·lo), with the latter being key to Parxet's identity. Originating from the Alella area, the Pansa Blanca adds a distinguishing personality, with a more mineral and structured profile closely linked to the granite sandy soils characteristic of the region. The grapes are cultivated in smallholder vineyards, spread over various plots and worked under organic viticulture criteria, maintaining controlled yields. This approach helps preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir. The production follows the traditional method, starting with whole grape pressing and fermenting at low temperatures to retain all aromatic notes. Subsequently, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle with aging on lees ranging from 20 to 30 months, maturing in the winery's underground cellars. No expedition liqueur is added, resulting in a completely dry cava that highlights the base wine's character and the Brut Nature philosophy. The result is an elegant and precise sparkling wine. On the nose, there are notes of white fruits such as pear, as well as citrus and hints of fine pastry, which result from prolonged aging. On the palate, it features fine and well-integrated bubbles, providing a fresh and balanced sensation, highlighted by its dryness without being aggressive, a characteristic that makes it especially versatile for pairing with various dishes.
