Biotona Bio Maqui Raw is a sublime powder of tiny black-purple berries that grow abundantly on evergreen shrubs in Patagonia, Southern Chile, and Argentina. These delicious-tasting fruits are considered the ancient and best-kept secret of the Mapuche Indians. This indigenous population resisted invaders in the region for a long time, possibly due to their exceptional resistance capacity from a high consumption of maqui tea. The dark purple color of the powder is due to the anthocyanins it contains, substances produced to protect against extreme external factors.
