YOGI TEA CLASSIC (17 TEABAGS) YOGI TEA® Classic is the infusion that Yogi Bhajan originally served to his yoga students. This unique blend combines traditional Ayurvedic spices: cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and black pepper. Comforting, relaxing, delicious, spicy, and wonderful. Most enjoyed in the Indian tradition, sweetened and with a little milk, either animal or plant-based. The essence of this infusion is: "Comfort and Abundance."

Ingredients:

cinnamon*, cardamom*, ginger*, cloves*, black pepper*, cinnamon oil** organic farming.
  • Cinnamon Cinnamon is one of the most expensive spices in the world and is believed to have been used in China over 3,000 years B.C. as a spice and medicinal plant. Cinnamon is obtained from the bark of the cinnamon tree native to South Asia; it has a sweet aromatic flavor and contains numerous tannins and beneficial essential oils.
  • Cardamom Cardamom has been one of the most popular spices in the Asian and Arab world for thousands of years. Its delicate aroma, which is both spicy and sweet, lends itself to the application of cardamom in numerous dishes, from spicy curries to spiced Christmas sweets. Thanks to its essential oils and other important nutrients, cardamom is also one of the oldest medicinal plants in the world.
  • Ginger Ginger has been used in the Far East for over 3,000 years as a spice and medicinal plant. It has a flavor that is both spicy and fruity and contains various vitamins, essential oils, and valued minerals.
  • Cloves Cloves are the flower buds of the clove tree and are primarily known in our region as a spice in dishes such as gingerbread or red cabbage. They belong to the myrtle family and have an intense spicy aroma, which was so valued in ancient China and Egypt that they were even paid for with gold.
  • Black Pepper Black pepper, also known as the "queen of spices," is currently, along with salt, the most important spice in the world. It originally comes from the Malabar coast in India and has an intense spicy flavor with varying degrees of heat. Ancient Ayurvedic medicine recommends black pepper not only as a condiment but also, due to its valued substances, as a medicinal plant.

Preparation:

Pour 250 ml of freshly boiled water over the teabag. Let it steep for 7 minutes – or longer for a more intense flavor. Add milk and sweeten to taste.
