Aiurri 2022 represents the Alma Carraovejas project in Rioja Alavesa, crafting a wine that captures the viticultural essence of the municipality of Leza. The old vines are situated under the influence of the Sierra de Toloño, and each plot is vinified independently before blending, allowing its individual character to shine. This contemporary Rioja combines depth, elegance, and landscape expression. The 2022 vintage offers a refined profile, balanced by aging in various casks and concrete refinement, preserving the wine's freshness. It is a wine with excellent aging potential, estimated between 15 and 20 years. It features aromas of blackberry, black plum, and ripe cherry, with notes of licorice, cocoa, vanilla, and a balsamic and mineral finish. On the palate, it is broad and silky, with a perfect balance of concentration and freshness. The finish is long, with dark fruit, spice, and chalky minerality.
