This wine is 100% Mencía, sourced from ancient vineyards in Ferreira de Pantón, near the Cabe River, one of the warmest areas in the denomination. The vineyards are planted on steep slopes over granite and slate soils, adding uniqueness and character to this wine. Hand-harvested to ensure grape quality, fermentation occurs with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, followed by an extended maceration to extract maximum expression from the grape. Afterward, the wine ages for about 8 months in large French oak foudres, providing notable complexity without masking the freshness and varietal character typical of Mencía.
