Amaren Carraquintana 2021 originates from the prestigious region of Rioja Alavesa, specifically from the notable vineyard of Carraquintana in the municipality of Leza. This unique vineyard, planted between 1930 and 1962, is known for its old vines that offer low yields, resulting in a wine of great concentration and unique character. The wine is a blend of Tempranillo, with small amounts of Malvasía Riojana, Garnacha, and Graciano that contribute complexity. After manual harvesting, the grapes are fermented in concrete tanks to preserve their purity, followed by aging for 14 months in 500-liter French oak barrels, developing its structure and elegance. On the nose, it presents attractive aromas of red fruit, cherries, floral and spicy notes. On the palate, it stands out for its silky texture, balance, and impressive acidity, accompanied by fine tannins and a mineral touch that provides freshness.
