Amontillado Leona is a generoso wine from the D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry, produced by Bodegas González Byass, using 100% Palomino Fino from vineyards in the Marco de Jerez. This wine is part of the historic "Solera 1847" range and is made following the traditional criaderas and solera system. In the first phase of its aging, it develops under a flor veil, characteristic of finos, and then through an oxidative aging process achieves greater complexity and aromatic depth, maturing in American oak casks. On the nose, Amontillado Leona presents intense aromas of hazelnut, toasted almond, and light salty notes, all accompanied by nuances of noble wood and spicy memories. On the palate, this wine is dry, elegant, and very persistent, with good structure and a long finish that highlights nutty notes.
