Blas Muñoz Essentia 2021 is a red wine of the IGP Vino de la Tierra de Castilla made by Bodegas Muñoz in Noblejas (Toledo). It comes from a selection of vineyards over 30 years old , grown in an extreme continental climate that favors a complete ripening of the grapes and a great aromatic concentration.
The wine is made from a blend of Tempranillo and Merlot. After fermentation with prolonged maceration, it is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels , where it develops greater complexity and structure while maintaining the expression of the fruit.
The nose presents intense aromas of redcurrant, ripe plum and fruit in liqueur , accompanied by notes of clove, tobacco and roasted coffee from the aging process. The palate is ample, structured and balanced , with pleasant tannins and a long, persistent finish. A red wine with a gastronomic character, ideal to accompany red meats, roasts, game or cured cheeses.
