Clos du Marquis Saint-Julien 2021 is a red wine from the Saint-Julien AOC in the Médoc region of Bordeaux, produced by the Domaines Delon , the family behind the prestigious Château Léoville-Las Cases. The wine comes from historic vineyards located on the gravel soils typical of Saint-Julien, which provide structure, elegance and ageing potential.
The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon , complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and small amounts of Petit Verdot , classic Médoc varieties that contribute complexity and freshness. After fermentation, the wine is aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels , adding refinement and structure.
On the nose it reveals aromas of ripe black fruit, cassis and blackberry , along with cedar, spice and subtle mineral notes. The palate is structured, elegant and well balanced , with fine tannins and a long finish that reflects the classic style of Saint-Julien wines.
