The CM Finca Picón de Zurita 2016 is the latest wine from Carlos Moro's Wine Collection, originating from the Ribera del Duero designation. This wine comes from a vineyard located at 725 meters altitude, where the tertiary soil provides significant depth to the Tempranillo vines. Spanning 2.60 hectares, this vineyard is one of the oldest plots owned by Bodegas Familiares Matarromera in the region. The vines are between 70 and 100 years old and are carefully tended to, with a triple selection of the grapes to ensure exceptional quality. The production of this wine is limited to no more than 10,000 numbered bottles. Visually, it presents a vivid deep cardinal layer with purplish tones. On the nose, there are notes of acidic black fruits, ink, and dark chocolate, combined with hints of fine woods like cedar and ebony, as well as spices of clove and roasted coffee. On the palate, it stands out for its broad structure of soft tannins, offering a fruity and spicy experience, with a clean finish.
