Pesquera Albillo Mayor 2022 is a white wine produced by Tinto Pesquera , one of the historic wineries of the Ribera del Duero in Spain. The wine reflects the winery’s commitment to reviving the Albillo Mayor grape, a traditional white variety of the region that was historically planted among Tempranillo vineyards.

The grapes come from vineyards located around Pesquera de Duero , where the continental climate and clay-limestone soils help produce wines with concentration and balance. The harvest is carried out by hand , ensuring careful selection of the grapes at optimal ripeness.

After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in French oak barrels , where the wine remains on its fine lees for several months , developing texture and complexity while preserving the freshness of the grape.

On the nose it shows aromas of ripe white fruits such as pear and apple , along with hints of citrus, white flowers and subtle notes of vanilla and toasted nuts from oak ageing. On the palate it is rich, balanced and elegant , with a creamy texture, refreshing acidity and a long mineral finish.
