Cortijo Los Aguilares Graciano 2020 is a red wine from the D.O.P. Sierras de Málaga produced by Cortijo Los Aguilares , a winery located in the surroundings of Ronda , one of the highest altitude winegrowing areas of Andalusia. It is produced with 100% Graciano , an unusual variety outside Rioja, which in this project is cultivated to show a different expression of the grape in a Mediterranean mountain climate.
After manual harvesting and grape selection, fermentation is carried out with the aim of preserving the varietal character. The wine is then aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels , where it develops greater complexity and structure without losing the natural freshness of the variety.
The nose is intense and expressive, with aromas of ripe black fruit, notes of Mediterranean scrubland and spicy nuances , accompanied by light balsamic and mineral hints. The palate is balanced and structured, with good acidity, firm but well-integrated tannins and a long, persistent finish. A red wine with personality that reflects the potential of the Graciano grapes grown in the Malaga mountains.
