El Puntido 2022 Magnum is one of the flagship wines of the Eguren family from Rioja Alavesa. Since its first harvest in 1996, it has become a benchmark due to the potential of the El Puntido vineyard. This vineyard combines altitude and calcareous soils, enriching the Tempranillo, resulting in a wine with depth and mineral character. The Magnum format is especially valuable as it promotes a slow evolution of the wine, making it an excellent companion for aging for over 15 years. The 2022 vintage, despite high temperatures, retains its freshness thanks to the vineyard's location. Aging in French oak barrels adds structure without overshadowing the fruit. On the nose, aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and violets are complemented by graphite and spices. On the palate, it stands out for its power and elegance, with fine tannins and perfect balance. Ideal to pair with roasted lamb, grilled red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
