Mouth: Sabroso, frutoso, buena acidez, equilibrado, largo, fino amargor, redondo.
Nose: Aroma expresivo, hierbas secas, fruta madura, especiado.
Mark: Telmo Rodriguez
Transistor 2019 is a white wine from the D.O. Rueda made by Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez , one of the most influential projects in the recovery of traditional vineyards in Spain. This wine is made from 100% Verdejo grapes from very old goblet-grown vineyards in the municipality of La Seca , where the gravelly soils and low yields make it possible to obtain grapes of great intensity and character. The name of the wine refers to the curious practice of placing spokes in the vineyards to scare away wild boars at night.
After the manual harvest, the wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for about 8-9 months in barrels and wooden vats , which provides greater complexity and texture without losing the varietal freshness. The nose shows fresh aromas of green apple, citrus and white flowers , accompanied by light mineral nuances. The palate is elegant, balanced and very expressive , with good structure, vibrant freshness and a long finish with delicate citrus and mineral notes.
Thanks to its balance between freshness and complexity, it is an ideal white to accompany fish, seafood, rice or white meats , showing an authentic and elegant expression of Verdejo from old vineyards in Rueda.
