Gago 2019 is a red wine from D.O. Toro made by Telmo Rodríguez as part of his personal project dedicated to recovering traditional vineyards in different areas of Spain. It is produced with 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) from old vines grown in goblet-trained vines in several villages of the appellation, on sandy and stony soils that give character and depth to the wine.

Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and cement tanks. The wine is then aged for approximately 14 months in French oak barrels , which gives it complexity and structure while maintaining the fruity expression characteristic of the variety.

The nose is intense and expressive, with aromas of ripe black fruit such as blackberry and plum , accompanied by spicy, balsamic notes and delicate toasted hints. The palate is ample and structured, with ripe tannins, good freshness and a long, persistent finish. A powerful and elegant red wine that reflects the character of Tinta de Toro and the landscape of the appellation.
