Gruñón 2018 is one of the most emblematic wines of the project Crazy about Wine, led by winemakers Miguel Sanmartín and Sergio Chueca in collaboration with Australian Chris Ringland. This wine comes from the D.O. Campo de Borja, a Spanish region known for its excellent Grenache. The grapes are grown in vineyards located between the slopes of Moncayo and the Huecha valley. Each variety is vinified separately to respect its characteristics. The wine does not undergo aging in wood, allowing it to maintain its freshness and expressiveness. On the nose, it offers aromas of blackberry, ripe plum, black licorice, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is powerful, broad, and silky, with ripe tannins and a persistent finish. This red reflects the most flavorful character of Campo de Borja.
