La Spinetta Barolo Garetti 2019 is a red wine from the DOCG Barolo (Piedmont, Italy) made by the prestigious La Spinetta winery from 100% Nebbiolo. The grapes come from the Garretti vineyard, located in Grinzane Cavour , with old vines planted on clay-limestone soils that provide structure, minerality and great aging capacity.
After manual harvesting and fermentation, the wine is aged for about 24 months in French oak barrels , followed by an additional period of refinement in the bottle. This process allows it to develop the complexity typical of great Barolo, combining power, elegance and aromatic depth.
The nose is intense and refined, with aromas of ripe cherry, red fruits and floral notes , accompanied by spicy, toasted and delicate earthy hints. The palate is structured and harmonious, with firm but silky tannins, good acidity and a long finish that reflects the noble character of the Nebbiolo variety. A great Italian red wine with excellent cellaring potential, ideal to accompany red meats, game, risottos or aged cheeses.
