Oremus Eszencia 2011 is a unique wine, regarded as the nectar of Tokaj. With a rich history and a meticulous production process, it stands out for its intensity and concentration, being highly valued in the wine world. Its tasting reveals an unmatched and exquisite character, making it the king of wines.
Oremus Eszencia 2011 is much more than just a wine; it is an experience confirmed by its rich history dating back to Louis XIV, who proclaimed it "the wine of kings and the king of wines." From the renowned lands of Tokaj, this wine results from a meticulous production process. The Aszú berries, essential for its production, are hand-harvested with great care, allowing only 5 to 10 kilos of grapes to be picked per person per day. This careful process ensures that every drop of wine is exceptional. After harvesting, the berries rest for 15 to 20 days, allowing the natural pressure of the extra weight to extract the concentrated juice characteristic of this wine. Once the must is obtained, it ferments slowly in 50-liter vessels, continuing its unique transformation. Subsequently, the wine moves into 68-liter barrels, where it ages for a year, and finally matures in bottles, a process that can extend over decades. The harvest of 2011 was particularly interesting, marked by a colder winter and abundant precipitation in the form of snow. Although the budding was early, climatic conditions varied throughout the cycle, presenting a dry June with high temperatures and a cooler July. This context contributed to a harvest that allowed for exceptional over-ripening of the grapes, extending over three months. Oremus Eszencia is undoubtedly a worthy representative of Tokaj wines, a symbol of identity in the wine world.
