Oremus Late Harvest. Vintage 2020. Silky, harmonious and fresh wine.
During the harvest, several passes are made through the vineyard. Only clusters containing at least 50% botrytized berries are selected. After destemming , the berries are macerated for 4 to 12 hours and then pressed. This Late Harvest is a very interesting blend composed of different grape varieties. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for at least 20 days. Finally, the wine is aged in Hungarian oak barrels for 3 months and refined in the bottle for an aging period of 10 months.what happened during the vineyard cycle in 2020? there was no damage to the vineyard in winter despite being mild and rainy. November and December were the wettest months of the last 10 years. Spring was dry, cold and budbreak occurred as expected. April and May were rainy. Veraison was slightly late. In October, during the peak of the harvest, the humidity was the highest in recent years.
