Pago de Carraovejas 2023 is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made by the Pago de Carraovejas winery from a blend of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) with small proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot , from their own vineyards located on the slopes of Peñafiel. After fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately 12 months in French and American oak barrels , which adds complexity without hiding the expression of fruit and terroir.
In the glass it has an intense cherry red color. The nose is elegant and expressive, with aromas of ripe red and black fruit, floral notes and spicy and toasted nuances from aging. The palate is balanced and enveloping, with fine tannins, good freshness and a silky texture that adds depth and persistence.
A Ribera del Duero very representative of the winery's style, combining power and elegance. Ideal to accompany red meats, roasts, traditional stews or cured cheeses , and perfect to enjoy both on special occasions and at a gastronomic meal.
