It is enclosed by the original wall built by the Cistercian monks and benefits from a special microclimate of Atlantic influence that provides mild temperatures, abundant rainfall and the hours of sunshine necessary for proper ripening of the grapes. The vineyards are located in soils of sedimentary origin, loam, rich in organic matter, acidic and profundo.Amparados under the D.O Rías Baixas , specifically in the subzone of O Rosal , Quinta Couselo has been making wines with limited productions for over 150 years.
