The history of Ridge Vineyard dates back to 1885, when the physician Osea Perrone acquired 70 hectares near Mount Bello Ridge in the Santa Cruz Mountain s. After passing through several hands, in 1989 Paul Draper, PhD in Philosophy from Stanford University, took over the winery and pragmatically applied the winemaking knowledge gained in Chile, aimed at naturally extracting the greatest aromatic intensity in the wines .Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 2016 is made with grapes from the famous and unique Monte Bello vineyard. Located high in the Santa Cruz Mountains, underlain by the decomposition of limestone and Franciscan rock, it produces a wine like no other. Enjoyable now, this excellent 2016 vintage will reach full maturity in fifteen years.
