Leirana O Pradiño 2021 is one of the most exclusive wines from the Forjas del Salnés project. This Albariño comes from a single plot in O Viquiño (Sanxenxo), located at low altitude and exposed to strong Atlantic influence. Its vineyard is planted in pergola over sandy gneiss soils, giving the wine a marked mineral character and great freshness. Unlike a classic Albariño, this wine undergoes a more ambitious winemaking process. It ferments and ages for approximately a year in new large barrels (600 L), which adds structure and complexity, elegantly merging with the wood. After this aging, the wine rests for another year in bottle, refining its profile and generating elegance in every sip. On the nose, Leirana O Pradiño presents a complex and evolved profile, with notes of citrus, stone fruit, and flowers, as well as hints of fine wood, spices, and a mineral background. On the palate, it is unctuous, broad, and very structured, with a well-integrated acidity that provides balance. Its finish is long, salty, and elegant, with a clear mineral sensation. This wine is clearly gastronomic, with aging potential and a style closer to great European whites than to young Albariños.
