San Vicente 2020 is an emblematic red wine from the D.O.Ca. Rioja , produced by the winery Señorío de San Vicente , belonging to the Eguren family. This wine comes from a single vineyard, Finca La Canoca , located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, and is made from 100% Tempranillo Peludo , a rare native Riojan variety that brings personality and depth to the wine. After fermentation, the wine is aged for about 20 months in French (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels , which contributes to its complexity and ageing potential.

In the glass it shows an intense cherry color with garnet hues. The nose is elegant and complex, with aromas of ripe red and black fruit, spices, balsamic notes and subtle toasted nuances from barrel aging. The palate is ample, concentrated and balanced , with firm but polished tannins, good freshness and a long, lingering finish that reflects the perfect integration of fruit and oak.

Thanks to its structure and depth, it is an ideal wine to accompany red meats, roasts, game dishes or cured cheeses. A modern and elegant Rioja that clearly expresses the singular character of the hairy Tempranillo and the terroir of the Sonsierra.
