The Attis Embaixador White Wine from Bodega y Viñedos Attis presents us with this white wine from the D.O. Rías Baixas, crafted from 100% Albariño grape varieties.
Embaixador is as unique as the vineyard from which it comes; it is a terroir wine. It perfectly expresses the peculiarities of the soil in which this vineyard is cultivated. Fermented in granite, enhancing the characteristics of the variety to the extreme. It is a diplomatic wine, as its name suggests—serious, complex, and full-bodied, yet retaining the freshness expected of a white wine.
Production: Manual harvest in perforated boxes of 15 kg. Manual selection upon entering the winery. Complete destemming and pneumatic pressing. Cold clarification. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with temperature control (12-15ºC). Aging in tank on its fine lees for 2 years with “batonnage.” Clarification with fish glue. Tangential filtration.
Vineyard: Selection from our “Embaixador” plot of 0.5 Ha, 60 years old. Training system: traditional pergola with 800 vines/ha. Soils of clayey granitic entisols. Altitude of 50 m. Vineyard cultivated organically.
From the Val do Salnés, in the heart of Rías Baixas, Bodega Attis produces authentic, artisanal, and Atlantic wines.
Behind the brand lies the winemaking project of brothers Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña, who, alongside Jean François Hebrard, aim to create distinctive wines that highlight their variety, plot, or production method, bringing out each nuance and aroma shaped by the climate (humid and with mild temperatures), the terroir (predominantly granitic), and, of course, the Atlantic (high salinity in the wines).
Respecting the unique characteristics of the native varieties used, the identity of Attis is candidly reflected in each of its wines: an identity built on tradition, effort, patience, and the know-how passed down through generations.
