The Cocchi Americano Vermouth is an Aromatized Wine from Asti (Italy).
This Aromatized Wine was created in 1891 by Giulio Cocchi and to this day the same recipe is followed. The name "Americano" comes from the famous American custom of drinking Vermouth with ice and soda, as well as its base of alcohol called Amaricato that gives this touch or bitter notes when tasting this aromatized wine.
Following tradition and the original recipe, the Cocchi Americano is recognized worldwide as the quintessential aperitif in its city of origin, Asti. Furthermore, the brand's logo is represented by a rooster singing in the style of the thirties, representing the function of the aperitif to "whet the appetite". Similarly, this is the symbol of the original city of this beverage.
