Sight: 'Color rojo picota muy intenso, con reflejos granates.'
Mouth: 'Gran cuerpo y volumen. Es un vino largo y sedoso. Elegante y potente. Un placer para los sentidos.'
Nose: 'Aroma intenso que combina en perfecto equilibrio la fruta madura con notas tostadas y especiadas. '
Pío del Ramo presents us with the Vino Tinto Alont from the Denomination of Origin Jumilla (Spain), made from the Monastrell grape variety. This wine comes from certified organic vineyards, aged between 20 and 40 years, situated in calcareous and sandy soils for Syrah and Monastrell, and slightly more clayey for Cabernet Sauvignon. Organic viticulture ensures an environmentally friendly cultivation and exceptional quality grapes.
The production of Vino Tinto Alont focuses on selecting the best barrels from each vintage, offering a wine that is made without haste and at the right time. It is a classic-style wine, adapted to the Mediterranean climate of the region, with cold winters, hot summers, and scarce rainfall. The harvest is done by hand, with careful selection of the grapes both in the field and in the winery. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in wooden vats, with an approximate maceration of 20 days. Subsequently, it undergoes aging for 15 months in new and second-year French and American oak barrels, finishing with 6 months in concrete tanks, which enhances the pure expression of Monastrell.
In tasting, the Alont shows an intense red color with violet reflections. On the nose, it offers complex aromas of ripe fruits, balsamic notes, and light spicy touches. On the palate, it is structured, elegant, with silky tannins, good acidity, and a long, enveloping finish. It pairs perfectly with roasted meats, traditional stews, aged cheeses, and game dishes.
If you have any questions when purchasing the Vino Tinto Alont, please contact the sommelier of our online store, and they will assist you without obligation.
