Lagar de Isilla Roble red wine, 2024 vintage, from D.O. Ribera del Duero. 75cl bottle, with an alcohol content of 14 degrees. Made from 95 % Tempranillo and 5 % Cabernet. The vineyards are mainly located in La Vid and San Juan del Monte, in the Burgos area of Ribera del Duero, at an altitude of between 828 and 840 metres, on poor soils of gravel, clay and sand. Alcoholic fermentation lasts 7 days at 25 °C and malolactic fermentation takes place in tank. It spends 5 months in American and French oak barrels. Production is 75000 bottles and the winemaker is Antonio Izquierdo. It has a cherry-red colour with cardinal hues on the rim and a medium-high, intense, lively body. On the nose, red fruit stands out with notes of cinnamon, vanilla and balsamic hints. The palate is broad, pleasant and flavoursome, with ripe forest fruits — blackberry, currant and bramble —, a well-integrated touch of oak and hints of mint, spice and scrubland. Recommended for grilled red meats and roasts.
