Marqués de Riscal Reserva 2022 is a red wine from the D.O.Ca. Rioja made by Bodegas Marqués de Riscal. It comes in a 375 ml bottle, also indicated as 37.5 cl, and has an alcohol content of 14.3 %. It is made from 93 % Tempranillo and 7 % Graciano. The Tempranillo grapes come from vines planted before the 1970s on clay-limestone soils in Rioja Alavesa. Fermentation takes place at 26 °C, with maceration lasting no more than 12 days. It then spends approximately two years (24 months) in American oak barrels and undergoes a minimum of one year of bottle ageing before being released. It has a deep cherry colour. On the nose it offers balsamic and spicy aromas, notes of ripe black fruits and light toasted hints. On the palate it is savoury and dense, with good structure and round, elegant tannins. The finish is long and fresh, with a slight oak note. The ideal serving temperature is between 16 and 18 °C.
