The Protos’27 Red Wine is an expression of the winemaking tradition of Bodegas Protos located in the well-known Ribera del Duero, Spain. This wine, made from 100% Tinta del País, pays tribute to the 11 visionaries who founded the winery. Protos’27 comes from ancient vineyards in the province of Burgos, at altitudes reaching 850 meters above sea level. This privileged location, along with a yield of only 2,500 kg/ha, ensures the quality of the grapes used in its production. The wine is characterized by its cherry red color with purple reflections, indicative of its youth. The 16-month maturation process in barrels gives the wine remarkable complexity. On the nose, it has high aromatic intensity, featuring ripe fruits intertwined with sweet spice notes and pleasant toasted nuances. On the palate, it is described as enveloping and balanced, with a pleasant maturity culminating in a finish that recalls ripe fruit.
