Sesame seeds are oil seeds. They contain 85% of unsaturated fatty acids; 22% of proteins rich in essential amino acids and 5% of minerals. They have great nutritional value: calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium and vitamins B3 and E (a natural antioxidant). They also provide lecithin, a phosphorous fat that is a great nutrient for brain cells and optic nerves. Because of all the nutrients it contains, it becomes an energizing, defatigating agent.
