Campillo Crianza is made with the Tempranillo variety produced by the Campillo winery.
Campillo is a company belonging to the Faustino Group. Like almost all Rioja wineries, its specialty is the production of red wines mainly from the Tempranillo variety.
Campillo Crianza is a varietal wine made from Tempranillo grapes. The grapes are harvested completely by hand. After being transported to the winery facilities, the Campillo Crianza grapes are fermented and macerated in 30,000-kilogram tanks under controlled conditions for about two weeks.
Finally, Campillo Crianza is aged in second-year American oak barrels for 18 months before being bottled, where it also rests until the final moment of commercialization.
Campillo Crianza is ideal to accompany any type of meat, grilled mushrooms, some strongly flavored or fatty fish such as tuna or cod, Emmental or Gruyere cheese, and mushroom rice. It is recommended to be consumed at a temperature between 16-18ºC.
