The Vino Tinto Celeste Reserva, from the winery Pago del Cielo, is a true reflection of the terroir from which it comes. This wine crowns the winery's range with a limited production, distinguished by its modern, fresh, and aromatic style. Made with Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes from the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero, it undergoes a minimum aging of 16 months in partially new French and American oak barrels, which adds complexity and elegance.
The Celeste Reserva primarily comes from owned vineyards located at the highest altitudes of the designation, in areas such as Fompedraza, Canalejas de Peñafiel, and Pesquera. These meticulously selected plots, known as "maduraderos," are planted on limestone slopes, providing finesse and structure to the wine. The limestone soils and excellent sun exposure, along with the marked temperature variation, ensure optimal ripening of the grapes, resulting in a balanced and high-quality wine.
The DO Ribera del Duero, located in the Central Plateau, is one of the most prestigious wine regions in the northern hemisphere. With vineyards reaching great altitudes and a harsh climate, the combination of these factors yields exceptionally high-quality grapes, resulting in unique wines with great enological value. The Celeste Reserva is a faithful representation of this singular terroir.
This wine has been recognized with 93 points by JamesSuckling.com, reinforcing its quality and prestige. If you have any questions about purchasing the Vino Tinto Celeste Reserva, feel free to contact our sommelier, who will assist you without obligation.
