Circe Verdejo [D.O. Rueda] - 750ml bottle

DESCRIPTION:

A unique wine from the D.O. Rueda, a different Verdejo that surprises as the glass approaches the nose and fascinates on the palate.

TASTING NOTES:

Straw yellow color, pale, very luminous. On the nose, it displays aromas of exotic fruits, white flowers, and varietal aromas. On the palate, it is fresh and luscious, with a smooth, silky passage and a perfumed and very long aftertaste.

SERVICE TEMPERATURE:

5-7 ºC

RECOMMENDED WITH:

100% Iberian Acorn-fed Ham and Shoulder. Ideal for any appetizer and seafood. Fantastic with foie gras.

ELABORATION:

This wine is made with grapes from old vines, from the Segovian towns of Moraleja, Aldeanueva, Codorniz and Santiuste, hand harvested at their optimal ripeness. A light cold maceration allows the free-run juice to absorb all the varietal aromas. Fermented at low temperature (12 ºC), the wine finally rests on its fine lees, to achieve the smoothness on the palate that characterizes it.

WINERIES AND VINEYARDS

Avelino Vegas S.A. controls over 600 hectares of vineyards, of which 90 hectares are old vineyards, some of them almost a hundred years old located mainly in the Segovia area, where they have built their new winery. In this area, vineyards are small, mostly between 1 and 3 hectares, and only the Verdejo grape is grown. The age of the vines allows their grapes to bring great complexity of aromas and good structure to the wines.
