The latest wine to join Carlos Moro's collection of Estate Wines is Picón de Zurita, a wine from the Ribera del Duero DO from a vineyard located at an altitude of 725 meters, where the loamy texture of the tertiary background, gives an important depth to its Tempranillo vines, providing an unparalleled complexity to its wines, to vegetate in successive sedimentary layers without erosion. It has a vineyard area of 2.60 hectares and is one of the oldest plots that Bodegas Familiares Matarromera owns in the Ribera del Duero.Estos vineyards have been chosen by Carlos Moro himself and are characterized by having between 70 and 100 years old, receive a meticulous and manual care, have a triple selection of grapes, which ensures a process of excellent quality. Production does not exceed 10,000 numbered bottles. This wine has a lively, deep cardinal robe with purplish tones. Nose of acid black fruits with a concentration of Chinese ink and dark chocolate among noble wood with cedar and ebony, spicy clove and fine roasted coffee. Lively palate with a broad skeleton of sweet tannins with fruity, spicy and clean wood sensations.
