Coto de Imaz Reserva is a classic red reserva wine from La Rioja and has accumulated awards everywhere.
Since its beginnings in 1970, the El Coto de Rioja winery has followed a policy of constant reinvestment that has not only doubled its facilities, but also significantly increased the extension of its own vineyards and the number of barrels for aging its wines.
Coto de Imaz Reserva is fermented in stainless steel tanks. It then undergoes an 18-day maceration with frequent pump-overs to find a balance between fruit and extract.
Finally, it ages for 17 months in 225-liter American oak barrels and spends 3 and a half years in the bottle before being released to the market.
Coto de Imaz Reserva is ideal to accompany grilled red meats, roasted red meats, veal round, and big game. It is recommended to decant before consuming and serve at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
