DESCRIPTION:
A captivating red wine, for the most gourmet palates.
TASTING NOTES:
Color: cherry red, bright and clean.
Nose: notes of ripe red fruit combined with aging aromas (vanilla, coconut, coffee) and hints of licorice.
Palate: wide and with good freshness. The tannins are soft and leave a pleasant feeling of finesse.
Aftertaste: tasty, polished and enjoyable. Alcohol: 14% Vol.

Tapas and cured meats, Iberian ham and Iberian sausages.
Meat rice dishes.
Pasta recipes.
Semi-cured cheeses.

ELABORATION:
Harvest: Manual with field grape selection.
Fermentation: Cold pre-maceration and fermentation for 15 days in controlled temperature stainless steel tanks.
Routines: daily pumping over.
Aging: 24 months in French oak barrels. Bottled in March 2023. Wine for aging.
WINERIES AND VINEYARDS
Location: Vineyards owned by Elciego (El Gallo) in Rioja Alavesa, in the process of becoming organic.
Climate: Mediterranean with Atlantic and continental influences.
After a complicated 2018 climatically with abundant rain, the 2019 harvest stands out for a lower vineyard yield, but with very high grape quality.
Soils: Calcareous nature brown soils with clay loam texture. Poor in organic matter. Soils that maintain freshness very well.
Variety: 100% Tempranillo
