Elaboration

A Xoriguer, in Menorcan, is the name given to the Menorcan windmills, since 1784.

The mission of the distillery is to make a gin as natural as possible. Gin Xoriguer is the essential ingredient in the most typical cocktail on the island, called "pomada" in Mahon and "gin amb llimonada" in Ciutadella. It has gained the appreciation of tourists who visit this Balearic island every year, and they take the name of this gin back to their homes. It has gradually gained a reputation as a great gin, making it one of the best-selling gins in Europe, despite still being relatively unknown in Spain.

Gin Xoriguer is obtained through distillation in a copper still with wine alcohol, heated by a wood fire, and stored in oak barrels until bottling.
