Mantecados Felipe II, made in Vitoria-Gasteiz following the original recipe, with the best raw materials, and with a totally manual preparation (which involves making them one by one), are probably the secret of the success of these mantecados, which, not in vain, are the most awarded and quoted internationally. This fidelity to the spirit that Blancanieves Tejedor printed in his confectionery, nothing more and nothing less, in the XVI century, with the only modifications of its size - which is now somewhat smaller, to facilitate its tasting - as well as its presentation in a fine silk paper, have made of this traditional and classic sweet with limited production, a luxury for the palate that should not be missing in the after-dinner meals this Christmas.
