The Red Wine Manuel Quintano Selección Particular is an oenological jewel from the Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja, produced by Bodegas Manuel Quintano in the town of Labastida. This red wine is a reflection of the viticultural legacy of the area, standing out for its elegance and complexity.
The Red Wine Manuel Quintano Selección Particular is made from a special selection of the best plots of Tempranillo and Garnacha, with vineyards over 30 years old located in the highest third of Labastida, at an altitude ranging from 550 to 700 meters above sea level. These conditions give the grape a slow and balanced maturation, providing the wine with great fruit expression and freshness.
The winemaking process begins with a pre-fermentative cold maceration, which helps to extract the finest aromas and flavors of the grape. Subsequently, a spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place, respecting the natural characteristics of the terroir to the fullest.
After fermentation, the wine undergoes aging in French oak barrels for a period of 14 to 16 months. This aging gives it structure, elegance, and spicy notes that complement its fruity profile.
