Marqués de Cáceres Crianza is one of the most established wines from Marqués de Cáceres in the market. It has numerous loyal fans of Rioja wine.
Marqués de Cáceres, and especially its founder Enrique Forner, revolutionized the concept of Rioja wine in the 1970s with a business model focused exclusively on quality.
Marqués de Cáceres Crianza is made with the grape varieties Tempranillo (85%), Graciano, and Garnacha tinta (15%). After the selection of the grapes, the woody part is removed to avoid herbaceous flavors, and the must with the skins is introduced into stainless steel tanks to undergo fermentation. During this process, remontage is carried out and the grape skins are extracted. The temperature is 25ºC. The second fermentation is carried out to transform malic acid into lactic acid, resulting in a significant modification of the wine's organoleptic character.
The wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels (60%) and American oak barrels (50%), and for an additional 10-12 months in the bottle.
Marqués de Cáceres Crianza is ideal for accompanying Mediterranean cuisine, fried foods, grilled vegetables, legumes, paella, rice dishes, pasta, fish in tomato sauce, ham and chorizo, pâtés, roasted, stewed or grilled meats, soft or semi-cured cheeses. Serving temperature: 16-18ºC.
